Homeopathy:
What is it?
It
is a holistic medicine based on the research of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann
almost two centuries ago.
From
the Greek words "homoios" (similar) and "pathos"
(suffering) it is based on three main principles:
The Law of similitude: This principle takes an infinitesimal
quantity of a sub stance that in a larger dose would cause a
reaction sim ilar to the one we are treating. Given in minute
doses, a medication will produce the opposite effect than the
same medication in a larger dose. For example Ipecac, in large
doses will cause vomiting but in small doses will be used to
fight and prevent vomiting. nfinitesimal quantities: It is the
result of the search for the smallest effective dosage.
Totality: Homeopathy does not aim at healing one specific organ
but rather heals the individual on a whole, his total being.
Homeopathic compounds: For those who w~nt to heal them selves,
homeopathic compounds represent, in my opinion the most adaptable
method of self-medication. They are effec tive and carry no
risk of error since they do not require the patient to have
any medical training.
Toxicity:
Homeopathy is an altemative medicine for the whole family, it
is effective, safe and since it contains no toxicity whatsoever
it is totally harmless.
How
it works:
Homeopathy stimulates our organism's natural defenses without
causing any side effects and can therefore act as a curative as
well as preventative medicine.
